Itinerary

Our representative will receive you when you land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). We will drive you to the hotel, and then you can rest in your room or explore the city on your own or with a guide. 

Our journey starts heading towards Pokhara from Kathmandu by tourist bus. It will take around 6 hours to reach Pokhara. You will enjoy the beautiful scene of Himalayas on the way. After arrival, you can rest in the local hotel or roam around the beautiful city of the lake. 

From Pokhara airport, we will head to Jomsom, the district headquarter of Mustang. If the day is clear then in the 30 minutes flight, you will enjoy the spectacular views of the hill and mountains. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, both look amazing from the plane. The actual trek starts from Jomsom. We will trek for 4 hrs to reach Kagbeni. Kagbeni is a village by the bank of two rivers and is the gateway to Upper Mustang.

Today, we will continue our trek heading towards the bank of the Kali Gandaki river. Today you will pass by Tangbe village, made with white-washed mud and narrow alleys. On the way, you will see the apple garden and buckwheat fields. We have to climb to Chele after crossing Kali Gandaki Valley.

From Chele, morning walk starts with a climb to Gyakar village, and then we trek around dry and barren landscapes to reach at Samar village, one of the lovely villages of Mustang area. After Samar village with short stops walk to Bhena and then leading with a steep climb to a ridge top of Yamda La pass at 3,860 meters high, offering a great view of Mustang area with high mountains of Mt. Dhaulagiri.From here on down-hill to the overnight stop at Gelling village via Syangboche village.

Our trek today begins descending through a rough and mostly slippery trail. After crossing a suspension bridge over the Ghami Khola and we start ascending.  You will see beautiful mani walls all along the way. Next, we walk through the Tsarang La Pass at 3870m and reach Tsarang village. The village lies at the top of the Charang Chu canyon with a huge fortress and a red gompa towards its east. Overnight in Tsarang.

We commence our trek by walking downhill to a canyon and cross a river before starting our uphill trek to Lo La pass at 3950m. You can have a nice view of the beautiful Lo Manthang village from the top of the pass. We then descend to Lo Manthang, a beautiful walled village. From this place, the views of the Himalayas including Tilicho, Nilgiri, Tilicho and Annapurna I, Bhrikuti Peak as well as Damodar Kunda (pond) is quite good. Overnight in Lo-Manthang.

Lo Manthang is a walled village of the remote Upper Mustang region of Nepal. We spend the day hiking to the three major gompas of the town, namely Jhampa, Thupchen, and Chhoeda.  These three gompas have undergone expert restoration over the last two decades. We can also trek to Tingkhar, a beautiful village located north-west of Lo-Mangthang. Overnight in Lo Manthang.

We will take a different route when getting back from Lo-Manthang. Our trail passes through Gyakar village, where you can find a century-old Ghar Gompa with beautiful rock paintings. It is said that anyone who makes a wish at the Gompa will have it fulfilled. After exploring the Gompa, we continue our trek to Drakmar for an overnight stay.

We commence our trek early in the morning to avoid strong winds and walk downhill for most of the trek. We pass through a dry plateau and fields before getting to Ghiling. The walk can be quite difficult as we are most likely to encounter strong winds on our faces. Ghiling is mostly dry, but we still have a good view of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri mountains. You can explore the village in the evening — overnight in Ghiling.

We begin our trek after breakfast. We follow the same trail as before going up to Lo Manthang. On the way to Chusang, we can enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas and small villages we pass en route— overnight in Chhuksang.

The trail from Chhuksang is all the way up as you are climbing over 1,100m. You will walk through the very small trackway inside the bushes and have a magnificent view of Himalaya Parbat dominated by Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m). Muktinath is a holy temple for Hindus, where so many Nepali and Indian pilgrimage will come to show their devotion to Hindu Gods, above that, the temple shows the co-operation between Hinduism and Buddhism.

Today after the breakfast visit to Muktinath and get some blessing then continue to hike on the trail that is all the way flat down through the gorgeous landscape and view of Mt. Dhaulagiri(8,167m), most of the way through the bank of Kaligandaki river, we walk through windy air but is a relaxing walk— overnight at Hotel.

We wake up early morning and take a scenic flight to Pokhara. You will fly through a gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains, which make the flight itself an amazing experience. After arriving in Pokhara, You can enjoy your leisure time exploring the streets of beautiful lake city — overnight in Pokhara.

After breakfast, we leave the beautiful northern skyline of Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. We will be walking along river banks with stunning views of terraced hills and the rural Nepalese lifestyle. After reaching Kathmandu, you can take a rest or go for some souvenir shopping. You will be attending a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the completion of the journey — overnight in Kathmandu.
