Trip Overview

Helambu Trek – An Excursion to Apple Village of Langtang.

The journey of Helambu Trek in Nepal is very spectacular. It saves time, money and energy of any trekkers. This is the small village of the Langtang region of Nepal Trekking. Terraced farmlands, Chortens, monasteries, Tamang community and green lush forests are its features. Moreover, it is nearby the Kathmandu Valley as well. Helambu Trek takes the itinerary of Chisapani Nagarkot Trek’s first phase. Follow the itinerary until the Chisapani Village. Check out the package for more information.

From Chisapani trekkers will have to trek through Tarkeghyang and Tharepati area. These places are famous for the green lush forests as well. The place is home to numerous wild animals and birds too. Monkey, leopards, red panda and foxes are the regulars of the place. On the trail, trekkers will see the different Chortens and mane walls. These are typical to Tibetan Buddhists people. Most of the people living in the Helambu locale are Tamang/Lama. Therefore, one can get the chance to understand these ethnic people in Nepal. Spend at least a day strolling around the village. It has so many things that can redefine your concept of rural Nepal. The sight of the Langtang Lirung Mountain and Gaurishankar are the added benefits.

The local apple farm is also the sight to visit during Helambu Trek. It is believed that most delicious apples are grown in the region. The clustered Tamang village is another attraction. Unfortunately, the 2015 earthquake destroyed the old styles of buildings in the area. You might find the modern houses in the area though. If you wish to do some volunteering then this is the right place as well. Visit the local schools and monasteries. Exchange the culture. This is going to be the most pristine short trekking journey of your lifetime.

Trekkers then return back to Melamchi Bazaar for the bus or private car drive back to Kathmandu. Book the Helambu Trek in Nepal with us. You will be wondered by the attractions naturally and culturally placed in the region. Langtang Region never fails to provide the worth of every penny spent on the trip.
