Trip Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour (ABC) offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas. The tour includes a thrilling adventure to the Annapurna massif as well as some of Nepal's most attractive tourist places. Among Nepalese trekkers, the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour is a popular alternative to the Annapurna Circuit Trek. The Annapurna Base Camp, commonly known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, is located at an elevation of 4,130 meters, 40 kilometers north of the picturesque Pokhara city.

The ABC Helicopter lands on an oval-shaped plateau at over 4,000 meters. Because the massive mountains of the Annapurna surround the sanctuary, it has the best 360° panoramic mountain view in Nepal. The Annapurna Mountain range has six prominent peaks that rise above 7,000 meters. Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Gangapurna are part of the mountain range (7,455m). Khangsar Kang (7,485m), Annapurna Fang (7,647m), Tilicho Peak (7,135m), Nilgiri Himal North (7,061m), Machhapuchchhre (also known as Fishtail Mountain) (6,993m), and Hiunchuli are some of the less prominent Annapurna peaks (6,411m). All these wonders are bordered by the Annapurna Conservation Area, Nepal's largest conservation area with an estimated area of 7,629 sqm. Buddhism is the dominant religion in Nepal's Annapurna Circuit Region. The region is home to Buddhist sects such as Kagyu, Sakyapa, and Nyingmapa. Most people don't notice much difference, which is understandable given the lack of distinction between the three sects.

The Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour departs from Pokhara airport, which is the closest take-off point to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The heli tour lasts about 2 hours, given that a one-way flight to the base camp takes 30 minutes. Following a brief introduction to our flight crew members, one of our representatives will provide some safety precautions that must be followed at all costs during the charter. Our primary concern is safety, and we make no concessions. Before boarding the helicopter, we need to confirm that you have read and understood the instructions. We begin the ABC Heli Tour by flying over the charming city of Pokhara (1,400m) and looking out at the magical Fewa Lake. Along the way, you will see some spectacular glimpses of the divine nature sprinkled with scattered Magar and Gurung settlements. After 30 minutes of flight, you will be greeted by the massive snow-capped mountains of the Annapurna Mountain range. At the Annapurna Sanctuary, we only have around 20 to 30 minutes. This is for safety reasons. Because the base camp is located at an elevation of 4,130m, staying longer than half an hour is risky. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) could result from rapidly increasing altitude. However, half an hour is enough time for us to do some sightseeing, capture some memorable moments, and enjoy a warm and delicious breakfast. Then we make our way back to Pokhara airport. An ABC Helicopter price is determined by your travel to and from the destination and the size of your group. The ABC Heli Tour is an excellent choice for a low-cost helicopter tour in Nepal. This Annapurna Base Camp Heli tour is both safe and inexpensive.
