Kailash Mansarover Yatra is one of the most popular religious activities among the Hindu pilgrims. However, the devotees of Jainism, Buddhism, Bonism and many other faiths consider Kailash and Mansarover as the holiest pilgrimage area. Thousand of devotees visit this sacred land every year through the mountains and plains of Nepal and Tibet.

Mt. Kaishas lies to the north of the Himalayan barrier in Tibet which is 6740m tall. It is believed that this mountain was formed 30 million years ago. Lake Mansarovar is the giant lake that lies beside Mount Kailash on Tibetan plateau. Brahma, the creator himself had created this lake. Devotees traveling here believe that they can get salvation and wash away all the sins of life when they visit Mount Kailash and bathe in the Lake Mansarovar. The journey used to be very hard in the past, but now it can be done on a jeep from Kathmandu.

This Kailash Mansarover Yatra begins driving through the Himalayas westward towards Tibet to Holy Lake Mansarovar. Kailash plays an important role in the religion of Tibet. It is the soul of the nation and believed that it will protect them from trouble. You will encounter the pilgrims, herders, and the local people during the journey which will be lively and memorable. Actually, you will have an experience of a lifetime.
