Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival Day (1,345 m)
We welcome you at Kathmandu International Airport and drive you to the hotel. Take a rest after the long flight and make yourself comfortable. It's our pleasure to invite you for dinner in the evening, which will be your opportunity to get closer to the trek leader and other team members.
Day 2 Kathmandu: City tour and Preparation (1,345 m)
Today, we will be exploring some of the major cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu city. Our city tour starts in the morning after breakfast in the hotel. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath are some of the sites we visit today. After coming back from the tour, our team will review the gear that you have brought and done some maintenance if required. Make sure that everything is all right before going for the trek.
Day 3 Kathmandu to Lukla Flight and Trek to Phakding (2,652 m) Walking Distance: 8km (3-4 hours)
An early morning flight will take you to Lukla, where you will meet other trek members. Enjoy the view from the plane. Our trek starts on the easy trail that passes through Chaurkharka village and goes down towards Dudhkoshi Ghat. We follow the path over the bank of the Dudhkoshi River until we reach Phakding, where we will stay for the night. Phakding is a popular stopping point, so enjoy your time exploring the surrounding.
Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) Walking Distance: 10-12km (5-6 hours)
After having breakfast in Pakding, we follow the trail that leads us to Namche Bazaar, one of the largest Sherpa village in Nepal. We cross a long suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River and pass through a beautiful pine forest before reaching Monjo. Our trek continues further to the entrance of Sagarmatha National park, where we will do some paper works and descend toward the Dudhkoshi River to Jorsala. Take lunch and rest for some time and then follow the trail that takes us to Namche Bazaar. Although the trail to Namche is a tough uphill climb, you will be rewarded with the first glimpse of Mount Everest when you reach Namche.
Day 5 Namche Bazaar: Rest and Acclimatization Day (3,440 m)
It is time to take a break before heading forward on our trek. Today, spend your day resting and allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. There is an optional two hours trek to the Everest Viewpoint if you desire. Otherwise, explore Namche Bazzar with a visit to the Sherpa museum, which showcases the culture of Sherpa people and the history of mountaineering. If it is a Saturday, then don't miss the chance to go to Haat Bazaar, filled with different kinds of trekking clothes and equipment.
Day 6 Namche Bazaar to Phortse (3,700 m) Walking Distance: 10km (6 hours)
After having breakfast in Namche Bazaar, we start our day heading towards Everest Base Camp. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde. About 6 hours of the trek takes us to Phortse, one of the most beautiful places in the Everest region, which includes the fabulous view of Ama Dablam.
Day 7 Phortse To Dingboche (4,400 m) Walking Distance: 11km (6 hours)
We start our day on the trail along the bank of Imja River. A gradual climb takes us to the village of Pangboche, where we will take our lunch and observe the typical Sherpa people's lifestyle. Before heading towards Dingboche, we visit the Pangboche monastery, one of the oldest monasteries of this area. It will take around 6 hours to reach Dingboche where we spend our night.
Day 8 Dingboche: Rest and Acclimatization Day (4,400 m)
Before heading for the next adventure, we take a break today for acclimatization. We will be trekking around Dingboche and the surrounding valley of Chhukung and Imja. It is optional to trek to the valleys, but when you reach there, you will be rewarded with the glorious views of the Mountains. Take plenty of rest as the coming days are going to be tough, and you need to be prepared physically as well as mentally.
Day 9 Dingboche to Lobuche (4,900 m) Walking Distance: 11-12km (6-7 hours)
The next part of our journey brings us over rugged mountain terrain to Lobuche, a small village with amazing views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lobuche, and the Nuptse. Prepare for the cold night; it is going to be downright chilly as we are already almost three miles from the sea level.
Day 10 Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) Walking Distance: 15km (6-8 hours)
Our day begins with a relatively easy trek to Gorakshep from Lobuche. But later, the trail to Everest Base camp becomes harder, which involves rocky dunes and moraine formed accumulation of unconsolidated glacier debris. We will pass by Khumbu Glacier and icefall, located on the slopes of Everest, on our way to base camp. If you visit this camp during summer, then you will have a chance to meet climbers attempting to scale the summit. Once you are at the base camp, break out your cameras for breathtaking views of natural beauty.
Day 11 Gorakshep to Lobuche Base Camp
We trek for 5 hours from Gorakshep to reach Lobuche Base Camp. You will feel relieved when you arrive in base camp, passing through the steep rocky moraine. There will be a climbing training session to prepare for the summit push tomorrow. Take rest and prepare enough as the next day is going to be challenging at the same time exciting.
Day 12 Summit Lobuche East, Return to Base Camp
Today is the day where we will be at the summit of Lobuche Peak. Waking up at 2 am might be top, but that will allow us to reach the peak before sunrise to enjoy the panoramic views of Himalayan ranges backlit by the fantastic rays of dawn. Spend some time taking some pictures for memory and then trek back to the camp.
Day 13 Lobuche Base Camp to Dingboche
We have achieved what we have come for. Now it is time for the returning journey with decent from Lobuche Base Camp on the trail that leads us to Dingboche. The path that we follow will meet up with the trail back from the Everest Base Camp. We spend our night in Dingboche.
Day14 Dingboche to Namche Bazaar
The trail becomes easy as we trek downhill from Dingboche to Namche Bazaar. We will pass by the thick forest of rhododendron and juniper full of the red and pink bloom and keep a lookout for wildlife such as snow leopards, colorful pheasants, mountain goats, etc.
Day 15 Namche to Phakding and Lukla (2,800 m) Walking Distance: 16km (6-8 hours)
After breakfast, we start our trek crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then pass through several local villages to Pakding and then to Lukla. In Lukla, it is a tradition to have a party with a trekking team to celebrate the success of the trek in the evening. Don't miss the chance to thank your trekking crew; This will be your last night with the trekking team, so thank the team for their hard work and support; without them, this trek could not be accomplished.
Day 16 LUKLA TO KATHMANDU (1,350 m)
Early in the morning, we take a flight back to Kathmandu, from where we started our journey. Upon reaching in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for the much-needed rest after a long journey. In the evening, we will have dinner together in a Nepali restaurant to celebrate the success of conquering the Himalayas.
Day 17 KATHMANDU: DEPARTURE DAY
Finally, your time in Nepal ends. You can do last minute shopping after breakfast. We will drive you to the Kathmandu airport as per your flight schedule. We hope that you are happy with our service and give us more opportunities to serve you in the future. Goodbye!
