Makalu Barun Trek in Nepal is splendid off the beaten trekking trail. The route is within the periphery of the world’s 5th tallest mountain Mt. Makalu. Mountain is accompanied by the iconic Mt. Everest as well. The National Park is spread over 1500 square kilometers in Eastern Nepal. The valley is extended from Sagarmatha National park towards east. Moreover, it is through the Tibetan and Sub Tropical gorge of the Arun River. The trail is within the Nepal – China agreements area. Therefore, a special permit is required for the trekking journey of these regions. The park established in 1992 stretches over two districts of Nepal the Solukhumbu and Sankhuwasabha.

Makalu Barun Trek in Nepal has contrasting things as you will find the cascading waterfalls and high gorges. Corroded rocks and green lush forests, as well as the grassy meadows and flower beds just below the Snow Mountains, are its amazing scenes.

Red Panda, Musk Deer, Yak, Thar, Snow Leopard, and Boar are regular wildlife of the area. There are numerous endangered birds in the area too.
